What is Google Adwords?

Google Adwords is an online advertising system that shows ads to people who search on Google.

The system shows the ad based on the keyword they type in the Google search bar and paid ads are shown on the top and right side of a search page as “sponsored links”.

 

How is an Adwords account structured?

Account

Your unique email address, password and billing information.

Campaign

Manage campaign settings like daily budget, geographic location, start and end dates.

Ad group

Create and manage keywords and ads, manage CPC (cost-per-click) bids.

 

Manage your advertising in your Google account.

1.Home

You will find a summary of key information such as a graph, keyword performance module, and specific campaign statistics. You can customize what you would like to see on your homepage yourself. Set up custom alerts and saved filters.

2.Campaigns

Manage your campaigns as seen in the graph above.

3.Opportunities

Find ideas for campaign optimization for budget, bid, keyword ideas by setting your goals.

You can choose from the following goals:

Balance cost and traffic

Maintain or decrease cost

 

4.       Tools and Analysis

Find tools to manage and optimize your campaigns.

Change History – Find a list of all of the changes made in your account.

Keyword Tool – Find keywords for your campaigns.

Traffic Estimator – Estimate costs, average costs per click, and traffic for different keywords before you run a campaign.

Placement Tool – Find placements for your display network campaign.

Contextual Targeting Tool – This tool helps you to build tightly themed keyword lists for display network campaigns.

You can manage your billing and pay for the ad costs here.

9.Graph

See the changes displayed in a graph over time set by the Date button. Modify your graph settings by clicking on the two buttons above the graph.

10.Campaigns

Set the columns of your individual campaigns, so you can see details of impressions, clicks, conversions, cost per conversion, etc.
